2025: My Medical Emergency and Why Calling 999 Saved My Life.

I want to share my story because it could help someone else recognize a life-threatening situation early and get the help they need.

In October 2025, I experienced a severe medical emergency. I have a long history of serious health problems — including heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (EF 20%), kidney injury, liver and gallbladder damage, and blood clots in my spleen. On top of that, I had cataract surgeries earlier this year that left me with complications.

When I felt something wasn’t right, I dialed 999 immediately. I am one of the lucky ones — I survived. My town did not attend a funeral, but I came home, alive, and I want to use that experience to help others.

During my hospital stay, doctors carefully monitored my heart, kidneys, liver, and lungs, treated fluid overload, managed my blood clots, and stabilized my condition. I was on multiple medications to protect my heart, kidneys, and lungs — each one plays a crucial role in keeping me alive and functioning.

I want to explain what each medication does and why I am on it, so anyone reading this can understand that these are real, life-saving treatments — not something I am “making up.”
