🧠 Day 5 — How to Help ChatGPT “Remember” Context

Welcome to Day 5 of the Free 60-Day ChatGPT Course! πŸš€

So far, you’ve learned how to write clear, structured prompts.
But what happens when you want ChatGPT to keep track of what you said earlier?

That’s what we’re covering today πŸ‘‡

πŸ’¬ The Problem

ChatGPT doesn’t truly remember your past chats — but it does understand context within the same conversation.

If you start a new chat, it forgets everything.
So your job is to give it just enough reminders to stay on track.

πŸͺ„ How to do it

Use short context refreshers in your messages:

Instead of this πŸ‘‡

“Write a follow-up email.”

Try this πŸ‘‡

“Write a follow-up email to the client we discussed earlier about the design project, keeping the same friendly tone.”

Or, if you’re restarting a chat:

“In our last conversation, you helped me write a blog intro about AI tools. Let’s continue — now write the conclusion in the same style.”

You don’t need to repeat everything — just set the scene again.

🎯 Your task today:
Continue one of your previous prompts.
Start a new chat and teach ChatGPT the context again — notice how fast it “gets” back on track.

Goal for today:
Learn how to guide ChatGPT’s memory through clear, quick reminders.

Tomorrow → Day 6: Using ChatGPT for Research and Fact-Finding (Safely).
