My Story – Diagnoses, Ambulance Calls, and Hospital Stays

Living with Severe Heart Conditions: My Journey from Hospital to Hope.

Between 15th October and 15th November 2025, I had three 999 blue-light ambulance calls and multiple hospital stays. I was diagnosed with LVSD EF 20%, angina, and NYHA Stage IV heart failure. Life changed overnight, but it hasn’t stopped me from living, learning, and even planning small adventures. This blog shares my experience, insights, and tips for anyone managing serious heart conditions.

1. The Timeline

  • 15th October: First 999 call under blue light. Admitted to hospital. Diagnosed with LVSD EF 20%.

  • 13th November: Another blue-light ambulance. Told I have angina. Hospital stay ended prematurely.

  • 15th November: Third ambulance trip. Continuous monitoring and adjustments to my care plan.

2. What These Diagnoses Mean

  • LVSD EF 20%: Severely reduced heart pumping ability, requiring strict monitoring and medication.

  • Angina: Chest pain triggered by exertion or stress, needing careful lifestyle management.

  • NYHA Stage IV: Heart failure with symptoms even at rest; daily activities require pacing and planning.

3. Key Lessons Learned

  • Listen to your body – even small symptoms can be serious.

  • Keep a clear record of hospital visits, medications, and instructions.

  • Surround yourself with supportive medical professionals and family.
