Yesterday, I found myself thinking about how often we resist what is — wishing things were different, hoping for quicker answers, or trying to change what’s beyond our control. But as I watched the winter sky settle into shades of grey, I felt a quiet sense of acceptance. The sky wasn’t trying to be anything else — and neither should we.
Acceptance doesn’t mean giving up. It means meeting reality with calm awareness, allowing life to unfold as it is. In doing so, we find peace, not because everything is perfect, but because we’ve stopped fighting what’s beyond our reach.
Today, notice one thing you can accept — a feeling, a moment, a circumstance. Let it be what it is, without judgment. Acceptance opens the door to understanding, healing, and ease.
Peace often begins where resistance ends.
