First Impressions & Arrival

Occupying the top six floors of the Otemachi Tower, Aman Tokyo is a masterclass in urban sanctuary, rising high above the frantic pace of Japan's bustling capital. Stepping off the elevator into the central lobby is a breathtaking experience: a soaring, cathedral-like atrium styled after the interior architecture of a traditional Japanese paper lantern (*shoji*), constructed from basalt stone, camphor wood, and translucent shoji paper.
