My left eye is giving me the picture.
My right eye is giving me the light.
And my brain? It’s saying — “OK guys, I’ll give you an 8K picture.”
After years of struggling with vision loss — my left eye blind for a decade and limited for nearly thirty years — I never thought I’d see clearly again. Then my right eye went almost completely blind earlier this year.
But after cataract surgery, something amazing started happening. The left eye, the one that had been silent for years, is now the one painting the image. The right eye adds the brightness. And together, with a bit of help from my brain, they’re creating clarity I hadn’t known in decades.
Every day, I notice small miracles — reading my phone without strain, cooking again with precision, and seeing colours I’d forgotten were so vivid.
This journey isn’t just about recovering sight. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and hope. The body and mind can reconnect in incredible ways, even after years of silence between them.
After darkness, I’m finally seeing life again — in full colour, high definition… maybe even 8K.
