After my cataract surgeries, I’ve been closely monitoring my recovery. On 30 September, I visited my GP because I was concerned about eye pressure. While waiting in the reception, I developed a fever of 38.1°C and my vision temporarily went—likely triggered by the bright lighting and stress of the situation.
The doctor prescribed antibiotics to address the fever and potential infection. I also had a reflex reaction and accidentally burned my hand when touching my neck, which I immediately mentioned to the doctor upon sitting down. Once in the consultation room, I was fine, but it was a reminder of how sensitive recovery can be and how stress and environment can temporarily affect vision and reflexes after surgery.
I am still waiting for my digital sick note, which, once issued, will be valid for 2–3 weeks, meaning I am officially not fit for work or work-related activities during this period. I also have blood tests scheduled next week to monitor my overall health. Even with these complications, I’m tracking every step and staying in close contact with my healthcare providers to ensure proper healing.
