The Tree Outside My Window That Taught Me Patience

Every morning, I look out my window and see the same tree. Its leaves are fading, falling slowly as November settles in. Some days I barely notice it — just another part of the scenery.

Yesterday, I paused. I watched the leaves drift to the ground, one by one. There was no rush, no urgency — just the natural rhythm of change unfolding.

It struck me how often we treat life like we’re racing against time. Deadlines, plans, milestones — we push, we hurry, we try to force progress. But growth, change, and healing happen quietly, in their own time, much like the leaves on that tree.

Patience isn’t passive. It’s noticing the process, respecting the pace, and trusting that life unfolds as it should.

Today, look for a “tree” in your own life — something or someone that reminds you that change is gradual, growth is steady, and patience is a form of wisdom.
